Jolene Shaw, Office Manager
My name is Jolene. I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University where I received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. At Western Kentucky University I took many classes to prepare me for a financial and management position. I was in the banking industry for three years and have been with Bluegrass Dental since April 2009. I will be glad to help you with any questions you might have about your insurance or account. I married my wonderful husband on August 22, 2007, and enjoy working with him each and every day. I met my husband at the University of Kentucky Dental Clinic where he was doing his residency and I worked as a receptionist in Pediatric Dentistry for two years. I have lived in Owensboro for 7 years, but I am originally from Winchester, KY. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and my baby boy, Stark, an energetic boxer who is my pride and joy.
Joanna Bush, Receptionist
My name is Joanna. I have been Dr. Shaw’s receptionist since July 2002 and have worked in the dental field in various positions since June 1994. I greet many smiling faces daily and answer questions regarding scheduling, insurance or any other concerns. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my two sons, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren. See you soon!
Jennifer Millay, RDH
My name is Jennifer. I am married and have two young daughters. I have been a registered dental hygienist since 2000. I began my employment at Bluegrass Dental in August 2002 and have enjoyed being a part of a dynamic dental team. I am committed to providing my patients with quality dental care to enhance their smile and overall health.
Kim Belew, RDH
My name is Kim. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisville in May of 2009. I strive to provide advanced and high quality oral health in our community. I was born and raised here in Owensboro and look forward to many years of dental hygiene care. I enjoy cooking, coaching soccer, and of course shopping. In May 2010, I will be getting married and hopefully starting a family of my own.
Karen Baker, RDH
Hello, I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and Registered Nurse and have been a member of Dr Shaw’s dental health team since August 2002. I graduated magna cum laude from Western Kentucky University in May, 1998 with a Bachelor of Science and Associate in Science degree. Since August 2003, I have been certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation. Prior to entering dentistry, I graduated from Madisonville Community College with and Associate in Applied Science of Nursing degree in December, 1992. I practiced as an RN on the cardiac step-down unit at our local hospital for seven years. I am also and most importantly the mother of two very active young girls. I enjoy spending time with my husband and attending my daughters cross country meets, softball and soccer games.
Raechell Roby, EDDA
My name is Raechell. I moved to Owensboro from eastern Kentucky in November of 1998. My husband and I have two small children. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, eating out, walking, playing with my kids, church, and my all time favorite shopping. I have been with Dr. Shaw since he started his practice in July of 2002. I have been assisting since 1997. I am a certified expanded duty dental assistant and certified in coronal polishing. I enjoy working here at BDA; we have a great dental team. We all strive to provide the best quality of dental care.
Dollynn Hearld, EDDA
My name is Dollynn Hearld. I’ve worked at Bluegrass Dental since September of 2003. I’ve been a dental assistant since February of 1989. I was born and raised in Palm Beach County, Fl. I received my Expanded Duty Dental Assisting and dental radiographer license at the University of Florida in August of 1994. I also received certification in coronal polishing in July of 2009. I’ve lived in Kentucky since December of 1994. My favorite food is crableggs and ribeye steak. My favorite hobby is spending quality time with my family and fishing.
Kathi Nuckols, EDDA
My name is Kathi. I’m an expanded duty dental assistant. I have been with Dr. Shaw since he began his practice in July of 2002. I have enjoyed my work very much, and I feel my co-workers and I are a great team. Outside the dental office I like to read and garden. I have two sons; they both have very busy lives which keeps me busy. I have two dogs and a cat that also keep me entertained. I love to spoil them.
Melissa Montgomery, EDDA
Hi, my name is Melissa. I have been a chairside assistant to Dr. Shaw since July 2002. I am certified in radiography, coronal polishing and expanded duty dental assisting. I find joy in helping people look beautiful by providing excellence in dental health and cosmetic dentistry. When I am not working I love watching my children play sports and being their biggest fan; my son Tyler and daughter MacKenzie are wonderful people. I also love to spoil my dog Bella and hang out with family and friends. I look forward to seeing you.
